Gara Agena is one of the privately owned and managed washing stations operated by Testi Coffee. Built in 2021 as a “Premium Facility,” it’s strategically located in an area carefully chosen for its natural resource availability and terroir potential. Testi sources cherries from over 600 local farmers, applying strict criteria for bean quality and harvest methods. Due to the region’s climate and elevation, coffees from this area tend to have a later harvest period and lower yields.

This specific lot is a Natural Premium—a special project initiated by the Testi team. Premium refers to a day lot produced by just a dozen selected farmers, with intensified collaboration at every stage, from tree to bag. The level of traceability and transparency achieved here is almost unique in Ethiopia.
